Olive Oil Everyday Uses — Hair, Body, and Etc.

What type of OLIVE OIL?

I would recommend you to purchase Cold Pressed Virgin (or Extra Virgin) Olive Oil. Cold pressed means that the oil has not been heated beyond room temperature. This is important because when the oil is heated beyond room temperature it may loose some of its nutrients.

This is the one I personally use:
Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 48-Ounces Bottle
Other types of Virgin Olive Oils:
Olive Oil
Now let's move on to some of its many uses….!

As a makeup remover-

In a small and empty bottle, you can buy empty containers at Wal-Mart, add VOO and fill it up to about 3/4 of the container. Then add some water (about 1/4) and when you are ready to use, mix it up and apply the mixture to a cotton ball.

As a hair treatment-

I do this 1 a week, in order to get shiny and silky hair. Apply olive oil all over your head! I know it might look gross, but believe me it will be worth it. Leave this for about 1-3 hours and then wash. If you can, leave it over night.

You will need to wash it off your hair like this: Apply shampoo on your hand and mix it in with a bit of water. After this, wash your scalp. You do not want to add water without any shampoo, since water alone will not remove the oil from your head. Do this until you feel you have taken off the oil.

As a daily body and hair moisturizer-

You can apply VOO to the tips of your hair and to dry areas on your body, such as elbows and knees.

These are some of the ways I use olive oil on my daily life, but I found this website which gives you 25 alternative ways in which you can use this oil :
